Meet Marina

Hi there, and welcome! I’m so happy that you have found yourself here. Beginning the search for a therapist can be an overwhelming and exciting experience. The best part of doing this is knowing that you are being proactive in creating the life you have imagined. Congratulations and I hope to be a part of your journey.

Helping people is something that I have always done, from playing mom and teacher as a young child, to being the confidant to my friends growing up. I like to say that I did not choose this profession; it chose me. Working with others, listening to their stories, and empowering them to rewrite the painful parts of their lives is a wonderful and rewarding gift.

All of us have our struggles; it is what makes us human. Recognizing and examining these areas takes a tremendous amount of courage. Therefore, I will provide you with a warm, comfortable, and safe environment.

I will work with you holistically: mind, body, and soul. I will help you to identify the specific areas of your life that could use more love and attention. In doing so, we will begin to understand and address your emotional wounds, how to heal from them, and discontinue unhappy patterns.

I have successfully worked with teens as they navigate the social climate, deal with peer pressures, learn how to better communicate given the challenges of our plugged in culture, and assist them as they transition out of high school. Through our work, we discuss their current identity and who they want to become.

I have seen many young adults living with anxiety and depression, trying to manage the numerous transitions that occur after college and as they enter “the real world.” With today’s status-driven, hyper-visible society, the pressure is on to do it all. I help individuals identify what they want and how they can achieve their goals in a fulfilling and authentic manner.

Resiliency and strength are within us all. I look forward to helping you develop yours.
