Meet Marina

Hi there and welcome! I’m so happy that you have found yourself here. Beginning the search for a therapist can be both an overwhelming and exciting experience. The best part of doing this is knowing that you are being proactive in creating the life you have imagined. Congratulations and I hope to be a part of your journey.

I have successfully worked with a variety of populations. My past focus was primarily teens and young adults. However, since becoming a mother, my passion has evolved to include supporting both expecting and new moms as they go through one the most profound, rewarding, and challenging transformations in their lifetime.

From the moment you find out you find out you’re pregnant to the first time seeing your baby, bringing them home, and everything that follows, you’re on a rollercoaster ride filled with exhilarating highs, and occasionally, some super-scary lows.

While you are doing your best to provide your little one with everything they need, you’re also trying to take care of yourself. Often times though, as moms, we put ourselves a distant second—even when it’s taking a toll on our mental health. If this sounds familiar, let this be your sign to carve out some much-needed space for yourself to process all these challenges and changes with a licensed therapist so you can find a healthy balance and show up the way you want to at home.

In addition to working with mamas, I am also passionate about another developmentally challenging time: being a teen and evolving into an adult.

The teenage years can be filled with academic anxiety, challenges with friends, difficulty figuring out your next steps, and dealing with family struggles. Thanks in large part to the pervasiveness of social media, people in those early “adulting” years of high school and college face tremendous pressure to have it all and do it all. The emotional cost of this pressure is largely overlooked and can lead to anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and a myriad of other mental health issues.

Regardless of what challenges you’re dealing with, I am here to help you sort through all of it. Know that resiliency and strength are within us all. I look forward to helping you develop yours.

Meet the Team

Watching your child struggle, whether with minimal impact to functioning or debilitating distress, is uniquely painful. Your family functions as a system, and as your child continues to face hardships, it impacts each member in different ways. While one child suffers, siblings feel overlooked and forgotten, caregivers are consumed with worry and struggle to perform as both the problem solver and peacemaker. As a result, the parental unit may experience a breakdown as there is no longer time to attend to one another.

The good news is, you have every resource that is needed to bring the family system back into functionality. In our approach, we see the family as the solution – no individual is the problem.

Our work will uncover the strengths that already exist within your child and family unit, all while providing you with the tools and knowledge needed to capitalize on those strengths. I will be responsible for giving you, your child, and your family the guidance needed to grow stronger, build resilience, and create connection.

In addition to utilizing diverse experience working with children, adolescents and families, I provide a unique framework through which individuals emerging into adulthood may find the clarity and confidence to enter the next stage of life. Whether facing challenges related to navigating relationships or entering the “real world”.

The next step is to schedule your free, 15-minute consultation to review your concerns and outline your next steps.  I will ensure you leave with a plan of action, whether that is scheduling our first session or connecting you with alternative resources who are best suited to help you.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Adolescence is a time of many challenging life transitions.  Some may feel isolated or daunted by what the future holds.  Social and family relationships can become difficult to manage.  My approach to working with clients is to encourage self-empowerment and resiliency through support, guidance and collaboration with the family.  As a child and adolescent therapist, I believe in the healing power of providing an open and authentic environment to help my clients process freely.

Our work together will take a strengths-based and client-centered approach that aims to honor my clients’ autonomy and personal growth.  I use my experience from yoga teacher training to incorporate somatic-based interventions to encourage grounding and personal alignment.  Additionally, my role as a school-based therapist at Palos Verdes Peninsula High School has given me immense insight into the varying expectations and cultures within the South Bay community.

I specialize in teens and young adults experiencing a range of mental health issues, including  anxiety, loss, stress management, managing peer relationships and general life transitions.

I look forward to connecting with you and seeing how I can be a support to you and your family!

Hi! I’m Holly – lover of dogs, fantasy novels, fitness, and all things food. I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and I am passionate about helping people live their best lives. I work with adults and teens who are experiencing a number of different stressors, most frequently anxiety, depression, career issues, and navigating relationships. I’ve studied psychology and business and have experience working with people from all different backgrounds.

I don’t believe in a one size fits all version of therapy. We’re not all the same, so our therapy shouldn’t be either. I get to know you as an individual and work with you to create a plan to get you where you want to be. You already have all the tools you need to get there, I’ll help you find them. I would be honored if you let me be a part of that journey.

I follow a strengths-based approach, so whether you are processing trauma, setting boundaries, working through relationship problems, or any number of different issues, we will be focusing on your strengths and improving your self-esteem along the way. I’m a believer in keeping it real- no toxic positivity here. You don’t need to bring good vibes only. With me, all vibes are welcome. Bring me the good, the bad and the ugly.

Because our minds and bodies are so connected, I use a holistic approach in therapy. Together, we will look at how mindfulness and movement can be incorporated to help you reach your goals. A big part of relieving stress is finding outlets that work for you, which looks different for everyone. I'm hopeful that I can help you find yours.

I’m here for you and I can’t wait to get to know you!
